Private Alfred E. Wyatt

 

The background of this North Irish Horseman is not known at present, other than that he was probably from England.

Alfred E. Wyatt enlisted or was called-up between 1915 and early 1917, when he was posted to the 2/1 Nottinghamshire Yeomanry (South Nottinghamshire Hussars) (regimental number not known), in 1917 he was issued Corps of Hussars number 281591.

In early 1918 he was posted to the North Irish Horse. Later that year he embarked for France, joining the 1st NIH Regiment, which that March was converted to a cyclist regiment attached to V Corps.

On 3 March 1919 he was demobilised and transferred to Class Z, Army Reserve.
